Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Riyadh Airport – Accommodation in Riyadh
Upon arrival at Riyadh International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight stay in Riyadh.
Day 2: Riyadh – Masmak Palace – Al Zal Market – National Museum – Diriyah (At-Turaif) – Riyadh
After breakfast, begin with a visit to Masmak Palace, an imposing mud-brick fortress built in 1865, now a museum showcasing the key moments of Saudi unification through fascinating artifacts.
Next, immerse yourself in authentic local life at the lively Al Zal Market, a traditional souq full of colors and aromas, offering spices, handicrafts, and textiles reflecting Saudi traditions. Visit the National Museum of Saudi Arabia, where interactive exhibitions take you from pre-Islamic times to modern Arabia.
In the afternoon, explore the UNESCO-listed historic district of At-Turaif, strolling through ancient adobe streets and admiring majestic palaces meticulously restored. Finally, enjoy the modern surroundings of Diriyah, where elegant cafes, art galleries, and cultural spaces provide a unique experience before returning to your hotel. Overnight stay in Riyadh.
Day 3: Riyadh – Flight to AlUla – Hegra – Elephant Rock – AlUla
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to AlUla. Visit Hegra (Madain Saleh), a UNESCO World Heritage site often called “The Other Petra,” and marvel at its rock-cut tombs set against a mysterious desert landscape. Continue to Elephant Rock, an iconic sandstone formation sculpted by nature over centuries. Transfer to the hotel in AlUla.
Day 4: AlUla – Oasis – Dadan & Jabal Ikma – Old Town & Al Jadida – AlUla
After breakfast, explore the AlUla Oasis, a green paradise amidst the desert. Visit Dadan, the ancient capital of the Lihyanite and Dadanite kingdoms, and Jabal Ikma, known as an open-air library, with inscriptions and carvings thousands of years old.
